Audio : bhagavad gītā karādi nyāsah.

Before we begin chanting the bhagavad gītā, it is customary to chant the karādi nyāsah. Here we associate different important phrases from the gītā, with our hands, fingers, heart, eyes and so on, with specific hand gestures. We invoke Bhagavad Gita as a deity and worship her. And we invoke and worship kRSNa, viSNu, and vyAsa as well. We chant the benefits of bhagavad gītā chanting.

There are longer and shorter versions of this. This recording is from the śrī pancaratnagītā by gītā press, gorakhpur, which I follow in my classes.

If you would like to learn the Bhagavad Gita from me, please register below. I teach the sounds (chanting), meaning and essence.

I learned my first gītā ślōkās in primary school. To this day, the study, teaching, chanting and contemplation of the meanings form a part of my daily life.
